Equality in education: overcoming gender-based violence in rural schools
In order to strengthen the struggle for equality between women and men, girls and boys, and to prevent and overcome gender-based violence in education, we gather in this page some materials – studies, news, analyses and interviews – on the subject and, more specifically, we present information on the project “Strategies to prevent sexual and gender-based violence and promote equity in rural schools”.
To be implemented from 2021 to 2023 in Nicaragua, Honduras and Haiti, the initiative is coordinated by the Latin American Campaign for the Right to Education (CLADE) in partnership with Alternatives (Canada), and in the countries is carried out by the Dakar Forum Honduras, the Rally for All in Haiti (REPT) and the Education and Human Development Forum of the Initiative for Nicaragua.
This work is carried out thanks to the support and grant awarded by the Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX) of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Ottawa, Canada.
