KIX Global – Honduras
The project Adapting and Scaling Approaches to Teacher Professional Development on a scale in Honduras 2020-2022 is part of the Knowledge and Innovation Exchange- GPE-KIX initiative promoted by the Global Partnership for Education and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).

What is it?
Digital Technology-mediated Teacher Professional Development in Honduras
The project aims to pilot the adaptation and scaling of technology-mediated Teacher Professional Development approaches in the Honduran education system (TPD@scale). The project argues that in order to improve education systems, especially in developing countries, better trained and well-trained teachers are needed to provide quality education. This pilot programme is being carried out jointly with partner organizations in Ghana and Uzbekistan.
Project objectives
1
To develop guidance for adapting, implementing, evaluating, and continuously improving Teacher Training on a scale (TPD@scale) models, or the components that make up such models, that are effective in different contexts and for different subgroups of teachers.
2
To identify and analyse the curricular, teaching, technological, organizational, economic, sociocultural, and political factors that influence the quality, inclusion, and effectiveness of the implementation of teacher training models on a scale.
