Regional Research on National Ecosystems of Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) in Education is an unprecedented study that, with a cutting-edge methodology of networking, information gathering and systematization, presents the current situation of these ecosystems in eight Latin American countries.

National Ecosystems in R&D&I in Education
SUMMA promoted the research “National Ecosystems in R&D&I in Education: concepts, challenges and analysis of eight Latin American countries” which focuses on five dimensions: i) governance and institutional framework, ii) policies and programmes, iii) resources, iv) collaboration and actors, v) dissemination and use. This study implemented an innovative networking methodology for the collection and systematization of information, collaborating with eight leading institutions in each country: Argentina, CIPPEC – Centre for the Implementation of Public Policies for Equity and Growth; Brazil, FGV-CEIPE – Centre for Excellence and Innovation in Educational Policies, at the Getulio Vargas Foundation; Chile, Educación 2020; Colombia, Empresarios por la Educación; Ecuador, Grupo Faro; Mexico, CREFAL – Regional Cooperation Centre for Adult Education in Latin America and the Caribbean; Peru, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and Uruguay, Universidad Católica del Uruguay.
Project objective
To generate a diagnosis and educational policy proposals to foster the development of institutional frameworks at the national level that are adequate for the promotion of research, development, and innovation (R&D&I) in education.
