SUMMA: Impact in 2025
2025 was a landmark year in the history of SUMMA and for the future of education in Latin America and the Caribbean. It was a year that not only marked progress and consolidation in our working model, but also profound learning experiences built together with the entire region. What we can show today as results is, to a large extent, a reflection of a process of listening, collaboration and co-learning with education systems, governments, international organisations, civil society organisations and communities.
Throughout the year, we have expanded our working model, which seeks to coordinate research, mapping and synthesis of policies, programmes and practices, as well as innovation, evaluation and scaling up of initiatives. This growth has been closely linked to our ability to learn from regional experience and translate that knowledge into concrete actions and impact with a systemic approach.
In this way, we deepened our regional impact through regional initiatives, commitments and alliances such as the Antigua Commitment to Literacy, which will enable us to continue working towards the transformation of education systems in Latin America and the Caribbean. We launched global initiatives such as the WISE Global Education Index together with Qatar Foundation. We lead and actively participate in more than 15 local, regional and international networks, and we added new platforms to our ecosystem of regional public goods. We also strengthened our area of Studies and Technical Assistance to Education Systems and mobilised knowledge through regional seminars, communities of practice and technical learning visits, understanding that knowledge makes sense when it circulates, is contrasted and is built collectively.
We invite you to explore these milestones as part of a collective journey and to continue working together for the transformation of education in Latin America and the Caribbean.
