KIX LAC present at ROSIE 2024 conference
14 de December de 2024

Raúl Chacón, Director of KIX LAC, participated in the ROSIE conference held in Nairobi, Kenya, December 10-12, 2024. ROSIE (Research on Scaling the Impact of Innovations in Education) is a Research on Scaling the Impact of Innovations in Education project led by the Center for Universal Education (CUE) at the Brookings Institution as part of the GPE KIX Brookings Institution as part of GPE KIX, and aims to create and foster a strong learning community focused on scaling education impact issues for all KIX research projects.
The meeting brought together members of the 91 organizations from 50 countries, representatives of the KIX centers and the KIX implementation team of the International Development Research Center (IDRC), to establish links, exchange experiences and analyze what is needed to explore the scope of the impact of large-scale impact on education systems.
The diversity of knowledge, functions and geographical contexts present enriched the discussions and experiences exchanged. Through interactive activities in different groups, participants explored in depth common questions such as:
” What does it mean to treat scaling impact as not necessarily about reach or numbers of locations and participants, but as about growing and deepening impact?”
“How do we prioritize the needs, strengths, and capacity levels of education practitioners, community participants, and other ‘users’ who are often the key that unlocks scaling success? “
“What does it mean to truly prioritize equity considerations in scaling impact and research?”
During 2025, CUE seeks to organize virtual discussions and workshops to deepen knowledge and understanding of the scaling process, the research that supports it, and the recognition that this challenging work is a collective effort.
