| From the KIX LAC Hub, an initiative promoted by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) of Canada, implemented in Latin America and the Caribbean by SUMMA and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), we invite you to participate in the KIX LAC Regional Virtual Conference: “Teaching practice in vulnerable contexts: lessons from the projects of the KIX LAC ecosystem,” which will take place on July 29 and 30 at 10:00 a.m. AST (UTC-4), in virtual format.
This event seeks to promote regional exchange among organizations, ministries, applied research projects and other actors in the education sector, contributing evidence to strengthen teaching practice in vulnerable contexts.
During the conference, experiences and lessons from applied research projects of the KIX LAC ecosystem will be addressed, organized into two sessions:

Transforming teaching to better respond to vulnerable contexts
The first session will focus on pedagogical practices and the strengthening of teacher capacities. Experiences related to inclusive pedagogies, learning through play, gender equity, inclusion and peer tutoring will be shared.

Institutional reforms to close gaps in a sustainable manner
The second session will address the adaptation of education systems in contexts of vulnerability, crisis and mobility, as well as shared lessons from the projects to inform more effective teacher policies and practices in the region. |
