Equipo de SUMMA se capacita con expertas en aprendizaje colaborativo y metacognición de Israel

Un equipo de nueve profesionales participó en una segunda instancia de capacitación con dos académicas que han liderado la implementación del modelo pedagógico IMPROVE en un tercio de las escuelas de Israel.
La académica de la Universidad de Bar-Ilan y asesora de la OECD en pedagogías metacognitivas, Zemira Mevarech; y la directora del Centro Nacional de Docentes de Israel, Ornit Spektor-Levy, fueron las encargadas de realizar la formación, cuyo propósito fue profundizar en el marco conceptual del modelo y su implementación desde la ejemplificación y modelamiento de las actividades y metodologías que lo componen. «Pudimos experimentar el aprendizaje colaborativo y desarrollar procesos metacognitivos, haciendo consciente nuestro propio proceso de aprendizaje en el taller, con un monitoreo permanente de parte de ellas», explicó la coordinadora pedagógica de SUMMA, Daniela Zenteno.
IMPROVE desarrolla una metodología que coloca al centro de la clase tres prácticas identificadas por la evidencia internacional como de alto impacto en el logro de los aprendizajes: metacognición, retroalimentación formativa y aprendizaje colaborativo. Estos tres elementos interactúan en distintos momentos de la clase, con una fuerte mediación del/la docente, favoreciendo el desarrollo del aprendizaje profundo.

Asimismo, en el contexto de la capacitación, las académicas retroalimentaron las planificaciones de clase del programa CHAKA, cuyo propósito es desarrollar aprendizaje profundo en los estudiantes. Para esto, las planificaciones han sido construidas inspiradas en el modelo IMPROVE y serán puestas a disposición de los docentes de lenguaje y matemática durante el 2020.


Metacognición, Colaboración y Retroalimentación Formativa

SUMMA (Laboratorio de Investigación e Innovación en Educación para América Latina y el Caribe) y Fundación Luksic organizaron un conversatorio sobre prácticas pedagógicas efectivas para promover el aprendizaje profundo.
La actividad, que se realizó el 30 de enero de 2020, en el marco del Programa CHAKA, iniciativa con proyección a 5 años y que actualmente se implementa en cinco establecimientos técnico-profesionales de Arica, con cobertura en más de 1000 alumnos y de 100 docentes.
El director de SUMMA, Javier González, valoró el encuentro y destacó la importancia de construir saberes colaborativamente. «Nunca nos han enseñado a colaborar. En general, nos han dicho que hay que competir», expresó.
Por su parte, el Director de Proyectos de Fundación Luksic, José Antonio Gutiérrez, indicó que “este conversatorio es una forma de traer a nuestra realidad la promesa de Chaka relacionada con trabajar con las mejores metodologías para implementarlas en los cinco liceos de Arica. Consideramos que es muy valioso que, en el marco del Aprendizaje Colaborativo, estas expertas estén dispuestas a aportar con sus conocimientos en nuestro desafío común de mejorar los aprendizajes de los estudiantes tanto de Arica, como del país y del continente”.
Según la Plataforma de Prácticas Educativas Efectivas elaborada por SUMMA, en alianza con Education Endowment Foundation del Reino Unido (EEF), metacognición, aprendizaje colaborativo (temáticas propias del evento) y retroalimentación formativa las tres de las prácticas más efectivas para el aprendizaje en el aula.
